The Waterford Tricenturena Skating Club (WTSC) offers an Adult Learn to Skate program designed for individuals aged 16 and above. This program caters to all skill levels, from beginners to those looking to enhance their skating abilities for recreational purposes, hockey, or figure skating.
Learn to Skate
Adult Learn to Skate is a fun and supportive program for skaters of all levels, from beginners to those looking to refine their skills. With a focus on balance, control, and agility, it helps adults gain confidence on the ice for recreation, fitness, or other ice sports. Taught by certified coaches, the program offers a safe and encouraging environment to learn at your own pace.
STARSkate
Adult STARSkate is designed for adult skaters looking to develop their figure skating skills in a fun and supportive environment. Whether refining jumps, spins, and footwork or working toward assessments and competitions, skaters receive coaching tailored to their goals. This program promotes skill progression, fitness, and a lifelong passion for figure skating at any level.

Schedule:
The Adult Learn to Skate sessions are held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 7:50 PM at the Waterford Arena. The upcoming session is scheduled to run from January to March, 2025.
Fees:
The cost for the session is $125, plus a $60 Skate Canada membership fee, which provides insurance coverage and is valid for the skating year.
Equipment:
Participants are required to wear CSA-approved hockey helmets during the sessions. For beginners, additional protective gear such as knee pads and wrist guards is recommended.
Registration:
Registration for the Winter 2025 session opens on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 9:00 AM. You can register through WTSC’s online registration system, Uplifter.

How do I register for a program at the Waterford Tricenturena Skating Club?
Registration can be completed online through our online registration platform, Uplifter. Simply follow this link, create an account and you can begin the registration process.
How do I pay for my session?
Payment is due in full at the time of registration. This can be done by credit card through the UpLifter system. If you choose to use e-Transfer, deadlines for payment will be determined at the time of registration for for each session. If this deadline is missed and you have not contacted the club at WTSC.info@gmail.com, your registration will be cancelled. For more details about forms of payment, including cheque and e-Transfer, please read below.
Can I pay by e-Transfer?
We are now able to offer e-Transfer as a payment option for registration. You need to log in to your online banking website or mobile app. Send the amount owed to the email address:
Security answer: enter anything as we have autodeposit turned, on and it will be automatically deposited.
The money will be transferred from your account to the club. There may be a small fee from your own bank associated with the transaction. For more details, check with your financial institution. More information about e-transfer can be found on the Interac website.
Can I pay by cheque?
If you have registration issues or wish to pay by cheque – select the option to “Pay by Cheque in Person or by E-Transfer”. You can then mail your cheque to WTSC PO Box 614, Waterford, N0E 1Y0.
What support is available for families who need financial assistance?
Our mission is to ensure every child can skate, regardless of financial circumstances. Subsidies and grants are available, including programs like Jumpstart, Kidsport, and WTSC Skater Bursaries.
